We are thrilled to announce Hands Up for Trad’s Women in Music and Culture List for 2026, celebrating just some of the extraordinary women who contribute to Scotland’s vibrant music and cultural landscape.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since our inaugural list in 2023, this initiative has grown into one of our most cherished annual celebrations, and every year we are reminded just how remarkable the women working in our sector truly are. This year’s list is no exception \u2014 and we couldn’t be more excited to share their stories with you. From performers, composers and singers to broadcasters, event managers and community music practitioners, these twelve women represent the extraordinary breadth and depth of talent that makes Scotland’s cultural scene so special.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Launched as part of International Women’s Day 2026, we invite you to read the profiles of each of our 2026 honourees and learn more about their work, their influences and their ambitions for the future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
