BBC ALBA will bring together some of Gaelic music\u2019s biggest names as C\u00e8ilidh na Bliadhn’ \u00d9ire <\/strong>returns to Glasgow to celebrate Hogmanay and usher in 2026.  Govan Town Hall, on the banks of the Clyde, is the venue for the iconic live c\u00e8ilidh which will be hosted by Cathy MacDonald and Niall Iain Macdonald and will be broadcast to audiences world-wide. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ingrid Henderson, renowned C\u00e8ilidh na Bliadhn’ \u00d9ire<\/strong> musical director, has assembled an all-star musical bill led by the legendary D\u00e0imh, who will bring an infectious energy to the Govan stage, their powerhouse union of traditional music and Gaelic providing the perfect bridge from the old year to the new.  Hogmanay\u2019s hottest ticket also includes a trio of acclaimed singers: Following notable success with Skipinnish, Norrie \u201cTago\u201d MacIver will share the stage with National M\u00f2d royalty, Emma MacLeod and Ruairidh Gray.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Still airborne from their multiple successes at the Lochaber Mod, the Glasgow Gaelic Musical Association, better known as the GGs, showcase their winning harmonies and choral virtuosity under the expert tutelage of Iseabail Mactaggart.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ingrid Henderson, in addition to her musical director role, will also lead the redoubtable Glenfinnan C\u00e8ilidh band, the musical hosts for the evening with Iain MacFarlane, Iain MacMaster, Hugh MacCallum and the irrepressible Anna Massie. The formidably talented group of musicians not only guarantee a party, they are a party!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
