HJOP is Gnoss\u2019 first release since their acclaimed 2023 LP \u201cStretching Skyward\u201d and marks the start of a new stream of music set for launch throughout 2025<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"whitespace-pre-wrap break-words\">HJOP will be released on Friday 9th May in the midst of Gnoss\u2019 most comprehensive UK tour yet; a 21-stop journey that includes a 400-cap show in London\u2019s \u201cKings Place\u201d (their biggest headline show outside of hometown Glasgow) as well as main-stage slots at Skye Live, The Reeling, and The Orkney Folk Festival.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"whitespace-pre-wrap break-words\">Recorded in January while preparing for their sold-out Celtic Connections show, HJOP brings together Gnoss\u2019 trademark acoustic and electric layers around a tune penned by the band\u2019s own Graham Rorie (fiddle, electric tenor guitar), and marks the start of a new collaboration between the band and award-winning studio engineer Stuart Hamilton (Castlesound Studios)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/projects.handsupfortrad.scot\/folkwaves\/hjop-by-gnoss\/\">Listen to the track.<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"whitespace-pre-wrap break-words\">\u201cUs four in Gnoss are in awe of the acoustic sounds Stuart finds. As this new music started taking shape, we knew it\u2019d be the perfect time to work together.\u201d says Graham Rorie, who describes how \u201cOn our last record, we wanted to experiment with new sounds and studio techniques. We ended up pushing that pretty far!
