Running from 2nd \u2013 5th May, the event welcomes musicians of all levels to learn from some of Scotland\u2019s finest traditional artists.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This year\u2019s stellar line-up of&nbsp;<strong>25 expert&nbsp;<\/strong><strong>tutors&nbsp;<\/strong>features&nbsp;an array of celebrated artists, including:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Fiddle players,\u00a0<strong>Marie\u00a0Fielding, Ronan Martin, Laura Wilkie, Louise Mackenzie, Gillian Frame and\u00a0Deirdre Morrison<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Accordionists,\u00a0<strong>John\u00a0Carmichael and Karen Tweed<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Award-winning singers including\u00a0<strong>Rachel Walker, Hannah Rarity and Kim Edgar<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Dannsa co-director and step dancer,\u00a0<strong>Caroline Reagh<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Pipers<strong>\u00a0Fred Morrison and\u00a0Calum MacCrimmon<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Cellist\u00a0<strong>Su-a Lee<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A trio of guitarists including\u00a0<strong>Findlay Napier, Aaron Jones and Mike Vass<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Dagger Gordon\u00a0<\/strong>on mandolin<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Former F\u00e8is Rois participants\u00a0<strong>Rachel\u00a0Hair and Kim Richards<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Hamish Napier\u00a0<\/strong>teaching flute\u00a0and group work<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Tom Bancroft\u00a0<\/strong>on bodhran<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Tradition bearer and Gaelic singer,\u00a0<strong>Rona Lightfoot<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><br>As well as the workshops, the weekend will&nbsp;feature a&nbsp;series of concerts:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Acclaimed singer-songwriter,\u00a0Findlay\u00a0Napier,\u00a0will share songs and stories on Friday 2nd\u00a0May at The Ceilidh Place Venue<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A must-see grand concert on Saturday 3rd\u00a0May featuring\u00a0Rachel Walker and Aaron Jones, with Laura Wilkie\u00a0at the Macphail Centre<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>An evening of\u00a0world-class piping with Fred Morrison on Sunday 4th\u00a0May\u00a0at the Ceilidh Place venue<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>A highlight of this year\u2019s workshop programme is a special collaborative workshop on Gaelic waulking songs; traditional Gaelic work songs once sung by women across the Highlands and Islands whilst waulking tweed. Renowned Gaelic tradition bearer&nbsp;<strong>Rona Lightfoot<\/strong>&nbsp;and fiddle player&nbsp;<strong>Laura Wilkie,<\/strong>&nbsp;whose debut album&nbsp;<em>VENT<\/em>&nbsp;is inspired by these songs, will lead this workshop, sharing both the music and the rich stories behind the songs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Christian Gamauf, Creative Producer, F\u00e8is Rois,<\/strong>&nbsp;commented: \u201cEvery year, F\u00e8is Rois nan Inbheach brings together musicians of all backgrounds to celebrate and share Scotland\u2019s rich musical heritage. Whether you&#8217;re a seasoned player or picking up an instrument for the first time, this weekend is a place to connect, learn and be inspired.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cOur F\u00e8is Rois nan Inbheach continues to be a highlight in our busy annual programme, attracting participants from all over the world; from right on our doorstep in Ullapool to as far away as The Netherlands, Switzerland, France and even Australia. This year we are excited to welcome some new tutors to our team as well as tutors well-known to our participants, and even a few former participants who are regular tutors with us.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cSpaces for the workshop programme are filling fast, but there are still opportunities to join the tuition sessions or purchase concert tickets.
