This performance will introduce&nbsp;<em>Routes to Roots<\/em>&nbsp;to a live audience for the very first time, featuring artists from Mexico, Argentina, and Chile, alongside our Artistic Director Catriona Price. We can\u2019t wait to share this exciting new chapter in our mission to bring cultures together through music.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>A Vision for Global Collaboration<\/strong><br>Our plans don\u2019t stop in Scotland. In January 2025, we\u2019re taking our next step by hosting a mini-residency in Oaxaca, Mexico, in partnership with Fundaci\u00f3n Alfredo Harp Hel\u00fa. This residency will bring together an international group of musicians to collaborate on new music, run community workshops, and perform the work created. The residency will serve as a test for our larger vision: a full-scale, annual&nbsp;<em>Routes to Roots<\/em>&nbsp;residency and festival beginning in 2026. Our goal is to run residencies in both Scotland and Mexico, with performances in each country, and to use these residencies as a platform for cultural exchange, collaboration, and community engagement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Why We Need Your Support<\/strong><br>This mini-residency is crucial for testing our model before expanding it in 2026. We\u2019re asking for a minimum of \u00a34,500 to cover the essential costs of travel and logistics for our core team. Our stretch goal of \u00a39,000 will allow us to expand the project, pay our core team, enhance the production quality, and document the entire process. By supporting us, you\u2019ll help ensure that this vision becomes a reality.
