The scheme will offer<strong>six fully-funded places<\/strong>&nbsp;on their unique sailing and music trips, providing incredible opportunities for musicians aged 18-25 or those who have limited access to such experiences. The Bursary Scheme reflects Sessions and Sail\u2019s ongoing commitment to inclusivity by providing outdoor musical adventures to individuals from diverse socio-economic backgrounds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Available Trip Options for 2025:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Firth of Clyde 2025:<\/strong>\u00a0Girvan to Oban (May 4th &#8211; 10th)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Songwriting 2025:<\/strong>\u00a0Oban to Oban (May 11th &#8211; 17th)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Solstice A 2025:<\/strong>\u00a0Oban to Mallaig (June 15th &#8211; 21st)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Solstice B 2025:<\/strong>\u00a0Mallaig to Mallaig (June 22nd &#8211; 28th)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Benefits of the Bursary Scheme<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Bursary Scheme offers recipients life-changing opportunities to develop both musical and seafaring skills. Participants will challenge personal limits, build confidence, and enjoy immersive trips that foster personal growth. Along the way, they will forge new friendships, help the crew sail the tall ship \u2018Lady of Avenel\u2019, and participate in workshops, tuition and traditional music sessions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201c<em>I was nervous beforehand, not knowing anyone else on the voyage and being quite new to traditional music. But as soon as I was on board, everyone was really friendly and welcoming of everyone&#8217;s different skill levels. Aside from a bit of sea-sickness, the voyage was amazing! Learning new tunes every day, exploring new parts of Scotland, and getting to know the other musicians was a fantastic experience.
