If you have any questions email&nbsp;<a href=\"mailto:research@scottishbooktrust.com%20\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\">research@scottishbooktrust.com&nbsp;<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>About this survey<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the 2011 census 1.5 million people reported themselves as Scots speakers, and Education Scotland view engagement with Scots in the classroom as a vital part of \u2018valuing the languages which children and young people bring to school\u2019 (2009).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Scottish Book Trust are gathering information on the types of Scots activities undertaken in classrooms across Scotland, as well as teacher views of the benefits of and barriers towards teaching Scots in classrooms today.
