BBC Radio Scotland Young Traditional Musician Award Finalists 2023<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Twelve young musicians from all over Scotland took part in the BBC Radio Scotland Young Traditional Musician Award on Sunday 30th October. It was a brilliant concert and each musician performed exceptionally well giving the panel of judges quite a task choosing the 6 finalists. In the end after lots of deliberation they chose the following finalists.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Aidan Moodie<\/a> – guitar, song (Orkney)
Ailis Sutherland<\/a> – pipes (Kirriemuir)
Amy Laurenson<\/a> – piano (Shetland)
Madeleine Stewart<\/a> – fiddle (New England, USA)
Mairi Mcgillivray<\/a> – song (Islay)
Sam Mabbett<\/a> – accordion (Oxfordshire)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
