\"big_sing_medium\"<\/a>It\u2019s nearly time for the Big Big BIG Sing!\u00a0 We really hope you can join us at Glasgow Green Live Zone on Sunday 27th July.\u00a0 Here\u2019s what we have in store for singing fun all day!<\/p>\n

From 8am to 9pm, there\u2019s a packed schedule of entertainment, pop-up choirs, \u2018Come and Try\u2019 sessions, performances and, of course, on the main stage at 3.30pm, the Big Big BIG Sing.\u00a0 And it\u2019s all FREE.<\/p>\n

At locations across the Green, there will be a Pied Piper\u00a0enchanting the kids with songs and rhymes; a Musicals Marathon where you can join in to sing favourite hits from the musicals; \u2018Come and Try\u2019 sessions\u00a0including Gaelic mouth music, Indian singing and beatboxing; a vintage tea dance for those who prefer a more sedate tempo; and Song Stages featuring performances by choirs from across the country.\u00a0\u00a0 As well as the packed programme of events, a cast of performers \u2013 including Valkyries and a singing horse \u2013 will be entertaining the crowds across the site all day.<\/p>\n

At 3.30pm, Big Big BIG Sing takes to\u00a0the Glasgow Green main stage and really gets the party going: be part of one enormous choir performing popular classics and songs from Big Big Sing\u2019s Big Big Commonwealth Songbook.<\/p>\n

Big Big Sing\u2019s exuberant team of choirleaders, led by Stephen Deazley and Eugene Skeef, will have everyone singing Commonwealth-style, with songs form Kenya, India, South Africa and Scotland and leading rousing renditions of classics including Pharell Williams\u2019 Happy, Bill Withers’\u00a0Lean on Me and hits by Jackie Wilson and Bob Marley.\u00a0 They\u2019ll be joined by the uplifting Soul Nation Choir, internationally renowned beatboxers Jason Singh and Bellatrix, and the brilliant Big Big Sing Band.\u00a0 Also performing will be the winners of Big Big Sing\u2019s schools\u2019 songwriting competition: Loch Primary School will sing Jump, Swim, Run\u00a0 and Shannon McLean, Evelyn Martin and Lucy Howie from Balfron High School will perform Life\u2019s a Game. \u00a0The afternoon will conclude with a unique mash-up of music from throughout the day, merging singing styles and traditions in a spectacular finale.<\/p>\n

To complete the fun and bring the Big Big BIG Sing Day to a close, there will be a special sing-a-long screening of a mystery film \u2013 to be announced soon!! Dressing-up is optional but encouraged!<\/p>\n
