They will perform on October 30th to a panel of judges in BBC Scotland who will choose 6 musicians to go to the finals on Sunday 5th February at Celtic Connections Festival in Glasgow. The semi-finalists are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Peter MacPherson<\/strong> (vocals, piano)<br><strong>Duncan Ritchie<\/strong> (piano accordion)<br><strong>Beth Malcolm<\/strong> (voice)<br><strong>John Dew<\/strong> (pipes)<br><strong>Amy Laurenson<\/strong> (piano)<br><strong>Madeleine Stewart<\/strong> (fiddle)<br><strong>Kenneth Macfarlane<\/strong> (whistles\/highland pipes)<br><strong>Sam Mabbett<\/strong> (accordion)<br><strong>Mairi Mcgillivray<\/strong> (Gaelic song)<br><strong>Seamus O\u2019Baoighill<\/strong> (fiddle &amp; pipes)<br><strong>Ailis Sutherland<\/strong> (pipes)<br><strong>Aidan Moodie<\/strong> (voice)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The BBC Radio Scotland Young Traditional Musician Award started in 2020 and is now in its 23rd year.
