With 133 original and traditional tunes from Scotland and Ireland from 13 contributors, the A4 format book represents a landmark in the revival of the flute in Scotland.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Publication has been made possible with support from a Tasgadh grant. The book will be available in person or via the website, after the launch weekend. We aren’t set up for pre-orders, but if you email me then we can reserve a copy and contact you once we’re up and running.

“Flutefling\u2019s dedication to the principle of \u2018The Scottish Flute\u2019, as independent but yet related to the Irish flute, is a strong indication of the healthy position of the flute in Scottish music and is due in no small part to FluteFling\u2019s activities.

Looking ahead<\/strong>

Once the book is published and after the launch, we will take stock and see what possibilities lie ahead. Thanks to those who completed the survey on future events as it helped us in our planning. It will certainly be good to see you all again and we will do everything  to connect up and be playing together once more.

Finally for now, the eagle eyed among you will have noticed we have changed our domain to www.flutefling.scot<\/a> and my address is now gordon@flutefling.scot<\/a>

The old domain and address will still work for now, but will eventually cease to do so.
