Footloose"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Fraya Thomsen is excited to release a new film made to music on Friday 14th of January.<\/p>\n<p>Director <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eleanormortimer.com\/\">Eleanor Mortimer<\/a> was inspired by <a href=\"https:\/\/frayathomsen.bandcamp.com\/album\/phrenetikos\">Phrenetikos<\/a> to make an accompanying film. Fraya met Eleanor when studying at the National Film and Television School where they struck up a collaborative bond.<\/p>\n<p>In this textural exploration, Eleanor and Fraya explored their feelings relating to &#8216;belonging\u2019 in 2020\u2019s Britain. In a deviation from their usual process, Eleanor was compelled to create a visual response to my EP \u2018Phrenetikos\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>The film was born out of a shared fascination with what it means to \u2018belong\u2019 in a constantly-shifting world, and how to find community and overcome loneliness. Watch it below.<\/p>\n<p>Footloose will be available on Vimeo and Youtube.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"YouTube video player\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/e7xs9rdjPyo\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Fraya Thomsen is a composer and harp player whose foundations began with the traditional music of Scotland. From an early age she was attracted by the raw emotional quality&nbsp;embodied by the Scottish musicians around her. She aims to draw on this in her approach to composition. &nbsp;With an MA in Composing for Film and TV from the National Film and Television School, a BA (Hons) in Scottish Music from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and a PGDE in Primary Teaching under her belt, Fraya\u2019s diverse interests are reflected in her body of work.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Fraya Thomsen is excited to release a new film made to music on Friday 14th of January.
