Buy a ticket here or listen live on BBC Radio Scotland.

We asked Eryn the following questions:

How did you get involved in traditional music?
My mum and older sister became involved with the Borders Fiddle Group in 2000 when I was born, so I had no choice but to tag along to everything! From there, we joined other local groups such as the Small Hall Band and never looked back.

Why did you enter BBC Radio Scotland Young Traditional Musician Award?
Mainly for the experience and to challenge myself, and to meet new folk with similar interests. It was also something to work towards and to keep me motivated in these strange times, with a great performance opportunity at the end too.

Who has been the biggest inspiration/influence on your music-making and why?
I’m fortunate enough to come from a musical family, so I’ve been immersed in music for as long as I can remember. One of my biggest inspirations would have to be my first teacher, Catriona Macdonald who has supported me throughout my whole musical journey. My current teacher Marie Fielding has also been extremely influential in helping me develop my own musical style and general outlook. She’s been my tutor at university for just over a year now and I’m loving every minute!

Are there any moments in your career so far that you particularly cherish and why?
Getting the chance to perform further afield in places like America, Denmark, Germany, and France were all really memorable experiences. I was also due to play at the Hydro in December with Callum Beattie supporting Amy Macdonald, but the show got postponed until March, so that’s something to look forward to!

What are your plans and aspirations for the future?
I’m graduating from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland in June, then I’ll be sticking around in Glasgow for the foreseeable. I hope to forge a full-time career in music, relying primarily on gigs, tours, sessions, and teaching. I would also like to record a debut album at some point in the not-too-distant future…

When you are not playing music what else do you enjoy doing?
You can usually find me eating good food or at the pub with my pals. On the contrary, I also love being outdoors and running/walking, and travelling to new places when I get the chance!

Why not buy a ticket to hear Eryn Rae or any other of the finalists at the Grand Finals on Sunday 6th February at 5pm.
