#Bringyourgaelictoworkweek is a new Hands Up for Trad initiative to help raise the profile of Gaelic Language. <\/em><\/p>\n Based on the various \u201cBring your \u2018something\u2019 to work days\u201d the concept is to bring your Gaelic to work \u2013 and for a whole week (8-12th November 2021)<\/em><\/p>\n This is a serious project though and aims to make the language visible to people who do not necessarily encounter the Gaelic language and for some work places involves signage and use of phrases to promote the language.<\/em><\/p>\n K107fm is conscious of the Gaelic speaking population within Fife, and has previously provided the Gaelic version of The Adventures of Captain Bobo to its Listen Again service alongside the English speaking version on-air.<\/em><\/p>\n Now, the Kirkcaldy based station is set to share <\/em>a 6 part conversation series with masters of their instruments, which celebrates the finest traditional music Scotland has to offer. The series is presented by Native Gaelic speaker Bekah MacLeod (Bekah NicLe\u00f2id). <\/p>\n In each episode Bekah chats in Gaelic to leading lights from the world of Celtic and Gaelic music looking at their instrument of choice and the resulting relationship with the music they love to play. The programmes will be illustrated with examples of their own music and tracks featuring musicians who influenced them.<\/p>\n All 6 episodes are available at www.k107.co.uk\/listen-again<\/a><\/p>\n Each show will concentrate on that musician\u2019s musical journey, why they chose to make it with a certain instrument and the joy it brings to them. \n<\/strong>Uist born piper, whistle player, guitarist and vocalist with the Gaelic band Trail West. Seonaidh studied traditional music and has released the album \u201cThe Torlum Sessions\u201d with acclaimed accordionist John Alex MacKay and played sessions with numerous Scottish musicians from across the traditional scene.<\/li>\n
\n<\/strong>From The Campbell musical dynasty from Greepe on Isle of Skye Mary Ann is a singer, harpist, pianist, choral director, composer, record producer and TV\/radio presenter. Classically trained she has gone on to release many albums with the band Cliar, collaborations and solo including the albums \u201cFonn\u201d and \u201cGlaschu\u201d.<\/li>\n
\n<\/strong>Harpist and pianist Ingrid from Lochaber she won the BBC Radio 2 Young Trad. musician aged 13. She has played with Julie Fowlis, Altan, Daimh and Margaret Stewart and composed for television. She runs Old Laundry Productions record label and studio with her husband Iain MacFarlane.<\/li>\n
\n<\/strong>From Moidart, Fergie is known as The Ceilidh King with an incredible 50 album catalogue. Fergie has preformed with his accordion at every ceilidh venue in Scotland and collaborated with hundreds of musicians. This natural storyteller many a tale from live on the road.

\n<\/strong>A singer, step dancer and broadcaster, Joy has been a gold medallist at the Royal National M\u00f2<\/u>d<\/a> and released 2 solo albums and an album with her brother Andrew called \u201cDithis\u201d (Duo). A stalwart of the Gaelic choir world she created and conducted the Alba Choir representing Scotland<\/a> at the Eurovision Choir<\/a> competition in Gothenburg, Sweden in 2019 which was followed for a BBC ALBA documentary.<\/li>\n
\n<\/strong>Fiddle player, bagpiper, guitarist and vocalist, Ewen joined The Battlefield Band in 2010, and also played with Skippinish and more recently as a founding member of celtic band M\u00e0<\/u>nran<\/a> releasing their 4th<\/sup> album in 2021. He\u2019s worked with Afro Celt Sound System and composed for television.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
