Congratulations to the 6 finalists of the BBC Radio Scotland Young Traditional Musician Award 2022. It was a great few days listening to all 12 semi-finalists playing beautiful music from all over Scotland. Each of the semi-finalists performed to a really high level and it was a really difficult job for the musicians to come to their decision. The finalists are:<\/p>\n

Breanna Wilson<\/a> – fiddle (Glasgow)
\nEryn Rae<\/a> – fiddle (Scottish Borders)
\nMalachy Arnold<\/a> – clarsach (Glasgow)
\nMalin Lewis<\/a> – pipes (Skye)
\nSaffron Hanvidge<\/a> – song (Inverness)
\nSophie Joint<\/a> – piano (Glasgow)<\/p>\n

The BBC Radio Scotland Young Traditional Musician Award will be held at Celtic Connections in the City Halls, Glasgow on Sunday 6th February at 5pm (GMT).
