A fun-filled summer of glamping festivals in Cannich came to a close in spectacular style this weekend as headliners M\u00e0nran<\/b> and Scooty and the Skyhooks<\/b> brought the curtain down on the series of groundbreaking events.<\/span><\/p>\n

Capers in Cannich<\/b> made history earlier this year when it burst onto the Scottish events calendar in May to become the first live music festival to be staged in Scotland after the pandemic.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Capers in Cannich team went on to stage five much-loved events throughout the summer, putting on a unique glamping and live music experience in a safe environment, all on its spacious, picturesque Highland site near Beauly in Inverness-shire.<\/span><\/p>\n

Over the five weekends, thousands made the journey to Cannich to see some of their favourite Scottish acts live again and the final weekend saw revellers young and old embracing the festival, which boasts a touch of luxury for its visitors.
\nFife singer songwriter Cameron Barnes<\/b> performed tracks old and new, much to the delight of revellers, alongside Inverness outfit H\u00f2-r\u00f2<\/b>, Fort William alt-pop act Keir Gibson<\/b>, Edinburgh pop duo The Eves<\/b> and many others.<\/span><\/p>\n

Morning yoga, kid\u2019s club and alpaca meet and greets were also part of the fun taking place at the family-friendly festival, which was Scotland\u2019s first created in response to Covid-19.<\/span><\/p>\n

Organisers now hope the foundations built throughout the summer will pave the way for the festival\u2019s return in 2022, offering visitors a really special festival experience in a relaxed environment.<\/span><\/p>\n

Capers in Cannich Director Karl Falconer<\/b> said: \u201cThe final Capers in Cannich weekend certainly lived up to expectations and it was wonderful to see so many people choosing to end their summer on a high with us at what was a memorable event with such a warm atmosphere.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s been a hectic year becoming the new kid on the Scottish festival block and we\u2019ve put so much hard work into delivering not one but five incredible events throughout the summer. We\u2019d like to thank everyone who supported and believed in Capers right from the off, despite the challenging climate we were operating in – none of it would have been possible without the team, volunteers, suppliers and wonderful artists.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re now extremely excited to build on the success and legacy of Capers in Cannich and see the event will evolve next year as restrictions continue to change.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n
