\"Scottish<\/a>Hands Up for Trad and the Saltire Society<\/a> are very happy to announce the 2013 Inductees to the Scottish Traditional Music Hall of Fame. As always the inductees show the breadth of talent that Scotland has produced over many years.<\/p>\n

There are 11 inductees this year including Boys of the Lough – the first professional band to tour the USA, Calum Kennedy – Scottish singing star and Dr Emily Lyle – international academic and editor of the Greig-Duncan Collection (see the complete list below). Each inductee will have a biography written by Jim Gilchrist and photo taken by Louis DeCarlo which will go on the website and into our Hall of Fame exhibition which travels the country.<\/p>\n

\"Saltire<\/a>We are very happy to be in partnership again with the Saltire Society an\u00a0organisation that believes culture is at the heart of who we are as individuals, as a community, as a country. This Scottish Traditional Music Hall of Fame is dedicated to giving acknowledgement and recognition to musicians and industry people who, by their dedication and hard work, have supported and influenced the development of Scottish traditional music during their lives. Launched at the Scots Trad Music Awards in December 2005, the membership of the Hall of Fame is added to annually. Read about all our\u00a0Hall of Fame inductees.<\/a><\/p>\n
