This track is a musical setting of the Edwin Muir poem Scotland\u2019s Winter, by Ewan Macpherson from the debut solo album from Siobhan Miller, \u2018Flight of Time.\u2019 Recently Siobhan\u2019s soulful and stirring renewal of traditional song has seen her voted Scots Singer of the Year in the Scots Trad Music Awards, not once but twice. The album has been produced by James Grant featuring some of Scotland\u2019s top musicians and the Prague Philharmoinc Orchestra.<\/p>\n
Siobhan Miller is one of the foremost singers in Scotland. Her range includes Scottish traditional, contemporary and self-penned material. In December 2011 she was voted \u2018Scots Singer of the Year\u2019 in the MG Alba Scots Trad Music Awards, and again in 2013. She is also an experienced singing tutor and works for Live Music Now. Most recently she has formed Salt House with Lauren MacColl, Ewan MacPherson and Euan Burton, and released their debut album, \u2018Lay your Dark Low\u2019. Her hotly anticipated solo album is due for release in 2014.<\/p>\n
