Pulse’ is a collaboration between multi-award winning musician and composer Mairi Campbell and sound engineer\/producer David Gray of Sound Cafe Studios.
\nCampbell’s ancient yet improvisatory approach and Gray’s modern\/electronic music, give it a sound that is both worldly and new.
\nHer reputation as an influential Scottish musician has grown steadily throughout her career. In 2008 she was awarded the Live Ireland Music Award for ‘Best Female Musician of the Year’, Scots Singer of the Year as well as the award for ‘Best Composition of the Year’. Her voice shot to fame when, in 2008, her version of Auld Lang Syne (with David Francis) was used in the soundtrack for Blockbuster movie ‘Sex and The City’.
\nCampbell\u2019s expanding versatility and powerful originality on this album, introduces the listener to one of Scotland\u2019s most accomplished and courageous musicians.<\/p>\n
