Since being awarded the title of \u2018Best Up and Coming Artist of 2009\u2019 at the MG Alba Scots Trad Awards, on the release of their first album \u2018Between Two Worlds\u2019 (CDTRAX333), the Band has gone from strength to strength, touring extensively throughout the UK, USA, Canada, and Europe. Concert highlights include appearances at Cambridge Folk Festival, Tonder Festival Denmark, Milwaukee Irish Festival USA, Goderich Festival Canada, Greentrax 25th Anniversary Concert Edinburgh, and Celtic Connections Glasgow. The Band\u2019s second album \u2013 \u2018Stem The Tide\u2019 (CDTRAX359) – was released in 2011.<\/p>\n
More recently Paul McKenna picked up the \u2018Scots Singer of the Year\u2019 award, while Mike Vass received the \u2018Composer of the Year\u2019 award and the Band was nominated for \u2018Folk Band of The Year\u2019 in 2012, all at the MG Alba Scots Trad Awards. What remarkable achievements for a comparatively young band.<\/p>\n
