This is considered a contribution towards registration, travel &amp; accommodation costs which will be booked by the applicant themselves.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Who can apply?<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Applicants should be individuals or organisations working in or with artists in traditional, folk, roots, jazz, or global music in Scotland and\/or Scotland\u2019s indigenous languages.\u00a0\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Applicants must be currently resident in Scotland<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Applicants must be first or second-time attendees at WOMEX or engaging with the event in a new capacity from previous attendance.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Please note- organisations in receipt of Multi-Year Funding are not eligible to apply.<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The deadline for applications is 5pm on Tuesday 11 August 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Further information and details on how to apply can be found on the Creative Scotland website-&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.creativescotland.com\/about\/major-projects\/womex\/bursaries\">WOMEX &#8211; Bursaries | Creative Scotland<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Today, Creative Scotland has launched the 2026 WOMEX Bursaries Programme.&nbsp;WOMEX 2026&nbsp;will take place from 21-25 October in Las Palmas, Gran Canaria, Spain.
