Five composers Neil McDermott, Alasdair Paul, Grainne Brady, Emma Tomlinson and Tina Rees wrote\/arranged a piece for our distil ensemble featuring drums. The idea of the day was\u00a0that the composers scored music for drums using Dave Milligan&#8217;s <a title=\"Writing for drums tutorial\" href=\"http:\/\/projects.handsupfortrad.scot\/distil\/writing-for-drums-tutorial\/\">drum tutorial<\/a>. The drums were played by Alyn Cosker and he was joined by Dave Milligan on piano, Patsy Reid (fiddle) and James Lindsay (double bass).<\/p>\n<div>The results were really good! Here are some photos from the day.
