It\u2019s a friendly place where musicians can test new songs, try different sounds, and explore creative ideas without worrying about being perfect. Here, it\u2019s totally fine if things don\u2019t sound amazing \u2013 that\u2019s the whole point.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Whether you want to try a new song, experiment with a different style, or work with other musicians, Beta Sessions gives you the space to do it without pressure. You can play for up to 15 minutes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The Idea<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>In the tech world, \u201cbeta\u201d means testing something new \u2013 trying things out before they\u2019re finished. We\u2019re bringing that idea to live music. This isn\u2019t about perfect performances. It\u2019s about the exciting process of creating something new.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At Beta Sessions:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Musicians can try new things in a supportive space<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Audiences get to see creativity happening<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Working together and trying things out is encouraged<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The fun is in discovering what works<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Our First Session<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Thursday, 20th November 2025<\/strong><br><strong>Scottish Music Centre<\/strong><br><em>Afternoon<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Come and join us for our very first Beta Session. It\u2019ll be an afternoon of real musical discovery, where creativity flows and unexpected things can happen. We are trying to keep it as acoustic as possible so please do not submit ideas that need big PAs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Want to Take Part?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Ready to give it a try?
