{"id":3964,"date":"2024-09-12T12:37:10","date_gmt":"2024-09-12T11:37:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/projects.handsupfortrad.scot\/distil\/?p=3964"},"modified":"2024-09-15T11:14:38","modified_gmt":"2024-09-15T10:14:38","slug":"3964-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/projects.handsupfortrad.scot\/distil\/3964-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Chamber Music Scotland launches: Small Venues Touring Fund"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>On Monday the 2nd September 2024, Chamber Music Scotland is launching a new&nbsp;<strong>Small Venues Touring Fund<\/strong>&nbsp;to support Scotland-based musicians to tour small venues across the country.<br><br>Supported by Creative Scotland, the Small Venues Touring Fund will distribute grants of up to&nbsp;<strong>\u00a35000 to cover performance fees.&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The aims of the fund are to:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Support musician\u2019s own touring plans.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Platform the quality and innovation within the chamber music sector in Scotland.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Allow artists to decide where and what they play.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Encourage tours rather than \u2018one-off\u2019 performances.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Platform for new, innovative and experimental chamber music, as well as traditional.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Reach new chamber music audiences and communities, where access to arts experiences may be limited.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ensure appropriate rates of pay for musicians.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><br><strong>Who is the fund for?&nbsp;<\/strong><br><br>This fund is for free-lance musicians who currently live and work in Scotland.<br><br><strong>Who cannot apply?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Promoters\/Venues.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Constituted ensembles supported by Creative Scotland\/Scottish Government.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Fund Timeline:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Fund opens \u2013 2nd September 2024<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Deadline for applications &#8211; 12pm Wednesday 23rd October 2024<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Outcomes communicated to applicants by the end of November 2024.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Tour Activity \u2013 January 2025 to December 2025&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><br><strong><u>How to Apply<\/u><\/strong><br><br>Applications open on Monday 2nd September.
