Scots Music Group (SMG) is an Edinburgh-based charitable organisation providing a programme of traditional music classes and events for adults.<\/p>\n
Location: SMG\u2019s office is located at Holy Corner, Edinburgh<\/p>\n
Working Hours: 18 hours per week, core days Tuesday \u2013 Thursday, flexitime, some evening and weekend working<\/p>\n
Contract Type: Permanent Part-time<\/p>\n
Salary: \u00a326,265 per annum (pro rata)<\/p>\n

Job Purpose:<\/em><\/p>\n The Development Worker will manage, develop and sustain SMG\u2019s charitable operations in line with board requirements and organisational aims.<\/p>\n Core Responsibilities include:<\/em><\/p>\n \u2022\tManage, organise & develop SMG\u2019s successful traditional music programme of classes and events (e.g. ceilidhs, concerts, stramashes.)<\/p>\n \u2022\tManage office staff, tutors & volunteers as required<\/p>\n \u2022\tManage the day to day operation of the accounting, financial & IT systems<\/p>\n \u2022\tProvide input into SMG strategy and policies<\/p>\n \u2022\tMaintain close liaison with SMG board, including preparing regular reports and attending SMG Board meetings.<\/p>\n Desirable Skills & Experience:<\/em><\/p>\n \u2022\tGood knowledge of and links with traditional music & music education<\/p>\n \u2022\tGood oral and written communication skills, and excellent interpersonal skills<\/p>\n \u2022\tGood IT awareness and knowledge of online event booking\/finance systems<\/p>\n \u2022\tTeam player, with experience of managing a team<\/p>\n \u2022\tCurrent Driving Licence.<\/p>\n For more information, please contact Edna Wilson (SMG chair) at chair@scotsmusic.org<\/a>.<\/p>\n For applications, please send your CV and a covering email to Edna Wilson.<\/p>\n
