\"\"Following the success of three previous editions, PRS for Music Foundation is again teaming up with funding partners Arts Council of Wales, Arts Council of Northern Ireland, Creative Scotland, and Colwinston Trust to run the Beyond Borders UK-wide funding programme.<\/p>\n

What activity can Beyond Borders support?<\/strong>
\nIn a change from previous editions, organisations and groups may now apply for funds towards further performances and touring of music written in the past five years. Applications can also be made for new music which is jointly commissioned. Both types of project must be made by organisations working with a partner based in a different UK country.<\/p>\n

Who is eligible for funding?<\/strong>
\nAny not-for-profit organisation or group, including those currently funded by PRS for Music Foundation (N.B. Beyond Borders activity must be additional to what is already supported). We are not able to support individual applicants through this scheme. Applicants must partner with at least other organisation based in another UK country.<\/p>\n

The deadline for submissions is 6pm, 27th June 2013.<\/p>\n

Successful Beyond Borders projects include:
\nStuart Macrae\u2019s stage work \u2018Ghost Patrol\u2019, which won the Opera category at the Southbank Sky Arts Awards in March 2013. Co-commissioned by Music Theatre Wales and Scottish Opera
\nMaya Jane Coles\u2019 remix of the collaboration between Northern Irish DJ Phil Kieran and White Noise Sound reached Number 1 on Beatport\u2019s electronica chart in autumn 2012. Co-commissioned by Oh Yeah Music Centre and Welsh Music Foundation
\nOrlando Gough\u2019s opera \u2018Imago\u2019 playing to a full house over several nights at Glyndebourne in March 2013 and receiving substantial critical acclaim, with The Stage describing it as \u201cAmbitious, imaginative and well executed\u201d and Gramophone magazine stating that the work provided “…a glorious affirmation that opera is a vibrant art form in our digital generation.” Co-commissioned by Glyndeboune and Scottish Opera<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Beyond Borders scheme has supported many exciting new music projects since its launch in 2010 and this year\u2019s inclusion of support for further performances of existing work clearly responds to a need in the music sector. I hope this funding opportunity will stimulate new UK collaborations and tours so that more audiences can enjoy new music written in the past 5 years.\u201d
