As with all our work, the priority is to support artists, curators and\/or producers\u2019 professional development, so we expect all proposals to demonstrate a significant step-change in their practice and\/or career growth. We are comfortable not knowing what the outcome might be at the application stage.<\/p>\n<p>We particularly welcome applications for:<\/p>\n<p>innovative research and development processes<\/p>\n<p>diverse cross-art form investigations<\/p>\n<p>new collaborations and\/or cross-art form partnerships<\/p>\n<p>new work on a new scale for the applicant(s)<\/p>\n<p>new work outside institutional contexts<\/p>\n<p>new work that challenges existing practices<\/p>\n<p>We look forward to being surprised and challenged.<\/p>\n<p>What can you apply for?<\/p>\n<p>You can apply for between \u00a35,000 and \u00a325,000 for:<\/p>\n<p>artistic research<\/p>\n<p>workshops<\/p>\n<p>scratch<\/p>\n<p>making and creation<\/p>\n<p>project development<\/p>\n<p>R&amp;D processes<\/p>\n<p>production, presentation and dissemination<\/p>\n<p>We will not fund applications that focus solely on public outcomes and do not include significant artistic development and learning process for the artists involved.<\/p>\n<p>Timeframes and deadlines for 2019<\/p>\n<p>Guidance for Jerwood New Work Fund published: 23 January 2019<\/p>\n<p>Fund opens for applications: 4 March 2019<\/p>\n<p>Advice sessions (by appointment*): 16 May 2019<\/p>\n<p>Applications must be received by: 5pm, 3 June 2019<\/p>\n<p>Decisions will be communicated by: 27 July 2019<\/p>\n<p>Eligibility criteria<\/p>\n<p>Across all our activity, individuals receiving our support must be:<\/p>\n<p>practising artists, curators and\/or producers<\/p>\n<p>within the first ten years of starting a professional practice (see FAQ for details)<\/p>\n<p>willing to be bold and take risks<\/p>\n<p>living and working in the UK and committed to making a positive contribution to the UK arts sector<\/p>\n<p>outside formal education<\/p>\n<p>In addition for the Jerwood New Work Fund, you can apply if you are:<\/p>\n<p>an individual artist, curator or producer<\/p>\n<p>a member of a group of artists, curators and\/or producers, the majority of whom are within the first ten years of establishing their practice<\/p>\n<p>an artist-led organisation and the majority of lead artists, curators and\/or producers are within the first ten years of establishing their practice<\/p>\n<p>Location: All Scotland ,England, Wales, Northern Ireland<\/p>\n<p>For further information, please contact <a href=\"mailto:info@jerwoodarts.org\">info@jerwoodarts.org<\/a> (Jerwood Arts), or call <a href=\"tel:+44%20(0)20%207261%200279\">+44 (0)20 7261 0279<\/a>, or visit <a href=\"https:\/\/jerwoodarts.org\/opportunities\/new-work-fund\/\">https:\/\/jerwoodarts.org\/opportunities\/new-work-fund\/<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The deadline is Monday 03 June 2019 at 17:00.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Jerwood New Work Fund provides funding for the research, development, creation, production and dissemination of new work, with a focus on developing artistic practice.
