Adam is the charismatic lead on a new project, <strong>based in St. Margaret\u2019s, Braemar<\/strong>, which will capture stories around the theme of Mountain Rescue and create an original body of work that will be integrated into a performance for the opening of the 2019 Braemar Mountain Festival. The subsequent publication of a \u201cTunes and Tales\u201c book will leave a permanent legacy for future musicians to enjoy.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018\u2026his classes are extremely well planned and structured; they are also informative, innovative and, above all, fun.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>Adam Sutherland, from the shores of Loch Ness, is one of Scotland&#8217;s most highly regarded fiddlers and composers. He has a score of awards to his name not least the MG ALBA Scots Trad Music Awards &#8216;Composer of the Year\u2019 2017 with his most recent album \u2018Some Other Land\u2019 nominated for \u2018Album of the Year\u2019 in the upcoming 2018 awards.<\/p>\n<p>Adam has built a reputation as an inspiring tutor and workshop leader at his own fiddle school, establishing an instant rapport and creating a warm, relaxed group atmosphere.<\/p>\n<p>Adam\u2019s first tunebook \u2018The Errogie Collection\u2019 features music influenced by his love for the dramatic scenery of the Scottish Highlands and his fascination with the real-life stories of the people he has met in his travels as a professional musician. This project offers a rare chance for successful applicants to work with Adam as he develops new work that encompasses these two major inspirations.<br \/>\nwww.adamsutherland.co.uk , <a href=\"http:\/\/www.facebook.com\/adamfiddle\/\">www.facebook.com\/adamfiddle\/<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Applications are invited from musicians who:<br \/>\n\u2022 have a keen interest in Scottish traditional music and learning composition skills.<br \/>\n\u2022 play traditional music instruments from intermediate to advanced level.
