There will also be sessions to help develop your creative career and discussions with the best in the biz on some of the biggest issues affecting the music industry today such as mental health, creating an inclusive industry, being a DIY artist, and more.<\/p>\n<p>Here are just some of the big names joining us \u2013 <strong>Melody Kane<\/strong> (BBC 1Xtra), <strong>Ben Pearce<\/strong> (DJ), <strong>Tom Middleton<\/strong> (DJ), <strong>Dave Rowntree<\/strong> (Blur), <strong>Carly Wilford<\/strong> (DJ), artists<strong> Eckoes<\/strong>, <strong>Cat Delphi<\/strong>, <strong>Estee Blu<\/strong>, <strong>Grace Savage<\/strong>, <strong>Signkid <\/strong>and\u00a0<strong>Roses Gabor.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>There is something for everyone at Help Musician\u2019s exclusive 3 days of in-depth and informative programming at the epic BBC Music Introducing Live festival at London\u2019s Tobacco Dock.<\/p>\n<p>We have curated three panels to lead our programming each day from <strong>10:15am<\/strong> in <strong>The Cockpit Room:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u2022\tPanel 1 on Thursday 8 November is\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.introducinglive.co.uk\/speakers\/help-musicians-uk-presents-doing-it-differently-sustaining-art-business-and-health\"><u>Doing it Differently: Sustaining Art, Business and Health<\/u><\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u2022\tPanel 2 on Friday 9 November is\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.introducinglive.co.uk\/speakers\/help-musicians-uk-presents-creating-an-inclusive-industry-taking-action-on-equality-and-accessibility\"><u>Creating an Inclusive Industry: Taking Action on Equality and Accessibility<\/u><\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u2022\tPanel 3 on Saturday 10 November is\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.introducinglive.co.uk\/speakers\/help-musicians-uk-presents-the-art-of-self-care-practical-ways-to-maintain-your-health-welfare\"><u>The Art of Self-Care: Practical Ways to Maintain Your Health and Welfare<\/u><\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>These panels will bring together some of the best in the biz to push the conversation forward, including:\u00a0<strong>Paulette Long OBE<\/strong>\u00a0(UK Music Diversity Taskforce),\u00a0<strong>Samantha Parker<\/strong>\u00a0(co-founder Music Support),\u00a0<strong>Melody Kane\u00a0<\/strong>(1Xtra),\u00a0<strong>Amanda Maxwell<\/strong>\u00a0(Boiler Room, SheSaid.So),\u00a0<strong>John Shortell<\/strong>\u00a0(Musicians&#8217; Union) and\u00a0<strong>Andy Inglis <\/strong>(5000, manager) as well as HMUK supported artist\u00a0<strong>Signkid.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In addition to these panels, we will also host our own HMUK dedicated, intimate space in the <strong>North Vaults<\/strong> at Tobacco Dock for the entirety of the festival. This space will offer festival-goers a taste of what we can potentially do for them through a range of practical wellbeing workshops, thought provoking discussions, industry presentations, live performances and funding advice sessions.<\/p>\n<p>Practical self-care will be available in the form of sleep advice from\u00a0<strong>Tom Middleton<\/strong>, meditation from Happy Heads, \u2018breath science\u2019 from <strong>Stuart Sandeman<\/strong>, examining crisis prevention tools with vocal coach\u00a0<strong>Lucy Heyman<\/strong>\u00a0and addressing \u2018how to keep it together in the music industry\u2019 with\u00a0<strong>Carly Wilford<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Ben Pearce<\/strong>. Mental health researchers\u00a0<strong>Sally Ann Gross<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0<strong>Dr<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>George Musgrave<\/strong>\u00a0(<strong>Context<\/strong>) will get together to review the next steps for music and mental health, as well as feature an update from our around the clock support service\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.musicmindsmatter.org.uk\/\"><u>Music Minds Matter<\/u><\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Room takeovers will come from\u00a0<strong>Association of Independent Music (AIM)<\/strong>, where CEO Paul Pacifico will offer a practical, interactive, step-by-step guide to getting started as a creative entrepreneur in the 21st Century;\u00a0<strong>The Musicians&#8217; Union<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>(MU)<\/strong>\u00a0will introduce the actions it has taken under its Safespace and Fair Pay campaigns;\u00a0<strong>MOBO<\/strong>\u00a0will spotlight what it means to be DIY in 2018;\u00a0<strong>Music Managers Forum (MMF)\u00a0<\/strong>will be in conversation with artist <strong>ECKOES<\/strong> to examine the art of self-managing; the\u00a0<strong>Featured Artist Coalition (FAC)<\/strong>\u00a0will discuss its work and direction with\u00a0<strong>Blur<\/strong>\u00a0drummer and Board member\u00a0<strong>David\u00a0Rowntree<\/strong>,\u00a0and\u00a0the <strong>Music Venue Trust (MVT)\u00a0<\/strong>will highlight its\u00a0Agent of Change campaign and ongoing Fightback Grassroots Promoter programme.<\/p>\n<p>We will also play host to a swathe of top-level performances from artists who have benefited from some of the charity\u2019s many funding initiatives. Expect sets from the likes of award-winning beatboxer and recipient of our Emerging Artists funding\u00a0<strong>Grace Savage<\/strong>, singer songwriter\u00a0<strong>Cat Delphi<\/strong>\u00a0who last year became one of the first ever recipients of the MOBO Help Musicians Fund, songwriter and\u00a0<strong>MC Shunaji <\/strong>who received a HMUK Future Bubblers bursary this May, plus many more.
