We are looking for someone to join us and manage the Youth Music Initiative (YMI) programme – the pioneering programme of music development for young people in Scotland.<\/p>\n
Based in Edinburgh<\/p>\n

Salary: \u00a339,519 pa plus pension and benefits<\/p>\n
Full-time (36 hrs per week)<\/p>\n
You will lead on the strategic development of the YMI programme across Scotland in support of Creative Scotland\u2019s 10-year plan. The role will involve working collaboratively with a range of partners, multi-art form organisations, local authorities and education bodies to develop close strategic partnerships as well as working across a number of projects and funding programmes.<\/p>\n
The role will also oversee the development and delivery of a range of projects, programmes and activities across all of youth music.<\/p>\n
Our ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of all aspects of youth music across Scotland and the UK alongside experience of working in youth music at a senior and strategic level, with a<\/p>\n
track record of successful project management.<\/p>\n
You will have extensive expertise and knowledge of youth music in all its forms – from contemporary to classical which will include the creation, production, presentation and promotion of youth music. You will be able to demonstrate skills to manage a range of funding<\/p>\n
programmes across youth music including undertaking assessments and budget management.<\/p>\n
Extensive knowledge and experience of the arts and creative industries in Scotland combined with excellent interpersonal skills and a commitment to our values is essential.<\/p>\n
