KEY TASKS<\/p>\n
\u2022 Co-ordinate a programme that includes 30+ weekly classes for young people and adults.<\/p>\n
\u2022 Manage the F\u00e8is Rois instrument hire bank<\/p>\n
\u2022 Work with the F\u00e8is Rois Education Manager to develop an annual programme of professional development and training opportunities for teaching artists<\/p>\n
\u2022 Develop opportunities for targeted groups to engage in music making opportunities in the Highlands, e.g. this will include work with refugees, young carers, and care experienced young people.<\/p>\n
\u2022 Co-ordinate an annual winter music tuition weekend for community performance group, F\u00e8is the Music.<\/p>\n
\u2022 Work with the Chief Executive to secure funding for the continued development and expansion of the community classes programme in Ross-Shire;<\/p>\n
\u2022 Work with the Education Manager to ensure that all F\u00e8is Rois projects, whether taking place in school or out of school, dovetail and complement each other.<\/p>\n
\u2022 Take innovative approaches towards e-learning and developing a virtual learning environment<\/p>\n
\u2022 During busy periods, you may be asked to work with the colleagues on other projects.<\/p>\n
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS<\/p>\n
Essential<\/p>\n
\u2022 At least three years\u2019 experience of working in the arts \/ community development settings<\/p>\n
\u2022 Experience of working with young people and a knowledge of child protection legislation and policy<\/p>\n
\u2022 Project management experience, including: organising and directing freelance project teams; monitoring budgets; financial reporting; evaluating projects<\/p>\n
\u2022 Previous experience of partnership working in the arts at a local level<\/p>\n
\u2022 Experience of promoting projects and marketing events<\/p>\n
\u2022 Knowledge of health and safety policy and risk assessment procedures<\/p>\n
\u2022 Ability to demonstrate excellent planning and organisational skills<\/p>\n
\u2022 Excellent communication skills<\/p>\n
\u2022 Ability to manage your own time and resources to achieve deadlines<\/p>\n
\u2022 Ability to multi-task, prioritise and show flexibility in your approach to your work<\/p>\n
\u2022 A team worker who can anticipate problems and show initiative for problem-solving<\/p>\n
