Self funded residency opportunities to stay at The Booth, Shetland over 2019. This opportunity is open to artists and makers working across a variety of art forms.<\/p>\n
The Booth is a small bothy situated on the harbour front in Scalloway, Shetland with stunning views. The building consists of a combined ‘clean’ working area and living space which is located on the upper level and a stone-walled basement for more ‘dirty’ work.<\/p>\n
The living accommodation has a fully fitted kitchen, washing machine\/tumble dryer and a bathroom with a fully accessible shower. There is a bed space located above the kitchen\/bathroom, the sofa also opens up into a double bed and towels and bed linen are provided.<\/p>\n
The Booth is an ideal spot for artists, working across a breadth of disciplines, to make, research and reflect on your practice. It also acts as the perfect base to explore the dramatic and ever-changing landscape of Shetland. There is no specific outcome for this residency but to if you would like to stay, Wasps require an application consisting of:<\/p>\n
1. A statement about your practice and how you plan to spend your time at The Booth<\/p>\n
2. An up to date artistic CV<\/p>\n
3. Six to eight images of recent art work or similar.<\/p>\n

The rent is currently \u00a3595 which includes all utilities. The rent is subject to review each financial year.<\/p>\n
For each booking a refundable deposit of \u00a3100 is required which will also confirm your booking. Bookings will be allocated pending the application and on a first come first served basis.<\/p>\n
