{"id":2433,"date":"2018-02-21T09:18:01","date_gmt":"2018-02-21T09:18:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/projects.handsupfortrad.scot\/distil\/?p=2433"},"modified":"2018-02-21T09:18:01","modified_gmt":"2018-02-21T09:18:01","slug":"scottish-album-of-the-year-award-campaign-producer","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/projects.handsupfortrad.scot\/distil\/scottish-album-of-the-year-award-campaign-producer\/","title":{"rendered":"Scottish Album of the Year Award Campaign Producer"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Scottish Music Industry Association is looking for a Campaign Producer to lead its flagship project; The Scottish Album of the Year (SAY) Award.<\/p>\n<p>With the SAY Award entering its seventh year, it is looking to recruit a dedicated campaign producer (individual or company applications accepted) to oversee the project, run the campaign and the Award Ceremony event itself.<\/p>\n<p>The SAY Award has historically been split into the following stages<\/p>\n<p>1. Financial planning and budgeting<\/p>\n<p>2. Assembling the supplier team (marketing, design, digital, etc.)<\/p>\n<p>3. Launching the campaign with the opening of applications for eligible albums including liaising with information resources<\/p>\n<p>4. Assessing and appointing 100 industry nominators and 10 judges to nominate their favourite albums<\/p>\n<p>5. Managing promotion and announcement of our 20 strong long list preempted by a PR campaign surrounding those nominations<\/p>\n<p>6. Announcement of our shortlist of 10 albums<\/p>\n<p>7. Planning and delivery of the award ceremony<\/p>\n<p>The campaign producer will be responsible for planning and delivering The SAY Award Campaign in collaboration with, and under guidance from, the SAY Award Steering Group.<\/p>\n<p>The candidate will be required to:<\/p>\n<p>-Attract funding\/sponsorship (from public bodies and private enterprises)<\/p>\n<p>-Liaise with stakeholders (especially Renfrewshire Council) partners, venues, event suppliers and media<\/p>\n<p>-Formulate production, PR, marketing, design and content briefs<\/p>\n<p>-Deliver the campaign within budget<\/p>\n<p>-Oversee collaborative promotion of all nominees<\/p>\n<p>-Contribute to post-campaign evaluation<\/p>\n<p>With guidance from the steering group, the candidate will be expected to:<\/p>\n<p>-Work with discretion and impartiality at all times<\/p>\n<p>-Be a competent, experienced event manager<\/p>\n<p>-Communicate precisely with nominators, judges and stakeholders<\/p>\n<p>-Be able to set up and administrate cloud databases<\/p>\n<p>-Communicate effectively within a team<\/p>\n<p>-Recruit project personnel where required<\/p>\n<p>-Understand the challenges of a publicly funded organisation<\/p>\n<p>-Report to our funders<\/p>\n<p>-Help shape then work to the SAY Award campaign plan<\/p>\n<p>-Work transparently and openly alongside the SAY Award steering group<\/p>\n<p>This candidate will:<\/p>\n<p>-Be organised, dedicated, enthusiastic, resourceful, punctual and a great communicator<\/p>\n<p>-Be passionate about music and arts in Scotland<\/p>\n<p>-Understand the creative industries<\/p>\n<p>-Be level-headed, hard working and able to execute the project efficiently<\/p>\n<p>There will also be an assistant campaign producer role.
