As part of the 25th anniversary Celtic Connections festival, Showcase Scotland are teaming up with Help Musicians UK to present a day of panels and information sessions on January 31, for Scottish artists looking to maximise their international careers.<\/p>\n
Leading figures from the Scottish, UK and international music industries have kindly agreed to lend their expertise to the panels, offering invaluable insights for artists touring from Scotland.<\/p>\n

Festivals and audiences are in abundance, and there is an ever growing international interest in the music Scotland is producing, yet there is a significant lack of professional infrastructure to support and fully develop artists\u2019 careers. Agencies are at capacity, and there are next to no artist managers – and, as such, many musicians and groups are self-represented or self-managed. With those duties alongside a live career, many are often stretched too thin across a number of disciplines in order to fully maximise their opportunities.<\/p>\n It is for these reasons that Showcase Scotland exists – to bring the world\u2019s folk music industry to Glasgow, to connect with our artists and industry.
