\nInteractive workshop: knowledge sharing and building networks & infrastructure in assisted learning music<\/p>\n

The focus of the lecture will be on their Sounds of Intent programme (http:\/\/www.soundsofintent.org<\/a>) that sets out how children with learning difficulties engage with music, and how their musical skills and interests develop over time. Sounds of Intent offers a range of musical resources that practitioners and parents can use, and a proprietary online assessment tool.<\/p>\n

Adam and Graham\u2019s research focus has been built on the conviction that music can play a vital part in young people\u2019s lives, both as a medium of cultural and aesthetic fulfillment in its own right, as well as being a vehicle to promote wider development and understanding, to support social and communication skills, and to enhance emotional regulation and well-being. <\/p>\n

The sessions are designed to be interactive and you are asked to participate to the full. The session is open to schoolteachers who work with children with special needs (in mainstream or special education), incl. those with an arts focus, therapists, community musicians, educational psychologists, those working within the voluntary arts sector, parents and children and young people themselves.<\/p>\n

Celtic FC Foundation focuses on projects which benefit children, adults, the elderly and those in our society who are most vulnerable. Our projects are inclusive and focus on our priority areas of Health, Equality, Learning and Poverty (HELP).<\/p>\n

Within Learning we have a significant commitment to education and Music in particular, funding instruments and tuition as well as lectures and masterclasses with renowned leaders to inspire pupils and teachers. We have a long established partnership in music and digital learning with Glasgow Caledonian University headed there by Dr Gianna Cassidy.<\/p>\n
