{"id":1831,"date":"2016-10-20T14:52:31","date_gmt":"2016-10-20T13:52:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/projects.handsupfortrad.scot\/distil\/?p=1831"},"modified":"2016-10-20T14:52:31","modified_gmt":"2016-10-20T13:52:31","slug":"arts-education-officer-youth-music-initiative-east-lothian-council","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/projects.handsupfortrad.scot\/distil\/arts-education-officer-youth-music-initiative-east-lothian-council\/","title":{"rendered":"Arts Education Officer (Youth Music Initiative)  East Lothian Council"},"content":{"rendered":"<ul>\n<li>To implement a range of learning opportunities in line with the Creative Scotland\u2019s Youth Music Initiative Formula Funded initiative.<\/li>\n<li>To implement a range of music initiatives, training programmes, staff development and support for staff.<\/li>\n<li>To work in collaboration with existing arts staff to implement a range of high quality programmes that support YMI aims, with professional artists and arts organisations for children and young people within East Lothian schools.<\/li>\n<li>To highlight the value of music education.<\/li>\n<li>To liaise with teachers, Head Teachers, Creative Scotland and other agencies to develop innovative music activities for children and young people.<\/li>\n<li>To collaborate with staff in the Arts Service to help achieve the aims of the Service.<\/li>\n<li>To prepare funding applications to agencies in order to implement projects.<\/li>\n<li>To value and promote diversity in arts programmes and inclusive approaches to all activity.<\/li>\n<li>To be an effective advocate for the YMI programme.<\/li>\n<li>To liaise with national bodies such as the National Youth Choir of Scotland ( NYCoS), Live Music Now and other music providers to support and develop projects.<\/li>\n<li>To identify continuing professional development (CPD) opportunities for teachers and artists to enhance the quality and opportunity of activity.<\/li>\n<li>To ensure projects are managed efficiently and effectively.<\/li>\n<li>To implement relevant evaluation and monitoring strategies for all projects.<\/li>\n<li>To attend regular Arts Service team meetings and other meetings as necessary<\/li>\n<li>To undertake other duties relevant to the grading of the post.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Location: East Lothian<\/p>\n<p>For further information, please contact recruitment@eastlothian.gov.uk (recruitment@eastlothian.gov.uk), or call 01620 827868, or visit <a href=\"http:\/\/www.eastlothian.gov.uk\/downloads\/download\/1834\/east_lothian_council_employment_information%0b%20\">http:\/\/www.eastlothian.gov.uk\/downloads\/download\/1834\/east_lothian_council_employment_information%0b%20<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The deadline is Sunday 23 October 2016 at 22:00.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>To implement a range of learning opportunities in line with the Creative Scotland\u2019s Youth Music Initiative Formula Funded initiative.
