Starcatchers is offering professional development bursaries worth £200 for artists in Scotland who work with and for babies and young children 0-5.
This resource can support any form of professional development that can be undertaken within the limitations currently placed on all of us.
This might be research, time spent in (remote) discussion with other artists or an online course that has sparked your interest. We are open to all ideas!
The bursaries are being offered through Playspace, Starcatchers’ professional development programme for artists.
Who: Artists who are already or are interested in creating work for/with Early Years across artforms who are resident in Scotland.
What: In recent conversations with artists from across Scotland we found that whilst some do feel ready to create or make work, others would like to spend time reflecting on their practice and exploring their own professional development. We hope this support will allow you some space to do just that.
When: The application deadline is 5pm, Thursday 16th April, 2020.
Application Process: Please submit a short overview (max 350 words) of your planned professional development to firstname.lastname@example.org. Priority will be given to those who demonstrate a specific interest in work with and for young children 0-5 and detail how the grant will support their practice.
We are also holding fortnightly zoom meetings for anyone working in early years – the links to these meetings will be published on our facebook pages – https://www.facebook.com/starcatchersuk/
We are working with other organisations in the sector and with our artists to develop ways of responding which will be of most benefit to the sector and to freelance artists. More to be announced soon.
Location: All Scotland
The deadline is Thursday 16 April 2020 at 17:00.
