What a brilliant festive night we had with Kathleen, Ross and Angus, and all the fantastic supporting musicians: Maratime, Anna Robertson, Heather Thomson, Angus Binnie, Lauren Moir, Lauren Byrne, and Lily Johnston. Everyone agrees you can’t go wrong with free Prosecco! Great for bringing out that unexpected spontaneous somersault exhibition to a piping recital 🙂
Kathleen MacInnes was, of course, brilliant, and fairly got into the spirit of things with her renditions of Away in a Manger (in Gaelic) and Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer. Not sure if everyone was aware that she arrived literally two minutes before she was pushed on stage, thanks to the awful roads she had to drive to get there. She insists she had a lovely dress she had been planning to change into but the Christmas jumper worked just as well. Big thinks also to Josh and the Arisaig Hotel for the lovely nibbles, and the great session afterwards.
There are some photos on our facebook page, thanks to Bean, if anyone has any others could they post them up? I was too busy serving in the bar all night to take any myself. There are rumours of a video of that somersault display though….. glad it wasn’t me this time!
See you all again next month.
